Welcome to the NABA Foundation – Our mission is to close the Black wealth gap through education, earnings, entrepreneurship, and enterprise. We believe that through intentional and focused efforts, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of Black students, professionals, and communities across the United States.

We are committed to creating a world where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and thrive. To achieve this goal, the NABA Foundation focuses on four key areas: education, earnings, entrepreneurship, and enterprise.

“The NABA Foundation has the potential to serve as a powerful catalyst in increasing support for accounting students, advancing the education of our members, and providing greater exposure to the accounting and finance professions.”

Education

Education is the foundation for a successful career and a fulfilling life. Our foundation is dedicated to making higher education accessible to students, regardless of their financial circumstances. We believe every student deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential. To achieve this goal, we offer scholarships to deserving students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and financial need.

Earnings

Equitable earnings for Black professionals are important for addressing systemic inequality, closing the racial wealth gap, promoting diversity and inclusion, and fostering social and economic progress. We support education and training programs that provide Black Business Leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to advance in their careers, negotiate for fair compensation, and provide financial support to help them pursue advanced education and training that can lead to higher-paying careers.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is a key driver of economic growth and innovation. Black entrepreneurs need a range of support to overcome systemic barriers and succeed in the business world, including access to capital, mentorship and networking opportunities, business education and training, legal and regulatory support, marketing and branding support, and access to markets and customers. We support programs that help Black Business Leaders start and grow businesses, especially those focused on providing professional services. We believe that entrepreneurship should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or financial means.

Enterprise

Enterprise is important for Black entrepreneurs and communities because it promotes economic empowerment, overcome systemic barriers, fosters innovation, and builds community wealth. We support initiatives that promote a vibrant and inclusive economy, such as infrastructure investments, access to capital, and policies that promote innovation and competition.
